Our professional and friendly staff is readily available to assist our guest’s and ensure their accommodations are the best and most comfortable during their visit. We have VQ suites that are separate bedroom and living room areas and two and four bedroom TLF’s suites with fully functional dining areas and kitchens to meet all the comforts of home for families. We also have Pet TLF suite accommodations to meet the needs of our guest’s traveling with pets. All suites are subject to availability and reservation can be made 24 hours to 14 days in advance.

Lodging Eligibility Rules
Eligibility: All personnel on Official Travel or TDY orders, active duty, ANG/Reserve and Retired military members with a valid DoD ID Card and their guests are authorized lodging accommodations in the following priorities:
Priority 1: All personnel on official travel or TDY orders, family members on PCS in/out travel orders or traveling through enroute to their final destination.
Priority 2: Space Availability travelers

Holidays and Special Celebrations
The High Desert Inn is the perfect solution for our guests who don't feel like making the long drive to their residence off base, after a long day or multiple days at the golf course or attending a special function at Club Muroc (both within short walking distance) or you spent long hours at work and just don't feel like making the drive home. Space Available reservations can be made 24 hours to 14 days in advance based on availability or just stop at our front desk and see if we have a room for you. We can provide the most comfortable accommodations and ensure you get home safe; your safety is our #1 Priority!

Visiting Family Members and Guests
Planning a vacation or outing with family or friends from out of town? The High Desert Inn may be the perfect answer to your needs (All suites are subject to availability and reservation can be made 24 hours to 14 days in advance). Our spacious VQ or TLF and Pet suites, can meet any guest requirements at their convenience. Information on base community events, Services facilities, on and off base eating establishments are at your finger tips in our guest information book located in our rooms. Our proximity to major sporting events and themes parks and the beaches are always a plus because of the short driving distances required to get there.

Pet Suites
The High Desert Inn here at Edwards Air Force Base offers Pet Friendly Temporary Lodging (TLF) units. We have a limited number of units available and reservations are taken on a first come first serve basis. Permanent Change of Station (PCS) reservations can be made as soon as the member has received their departure date. Individuals PCSing from Edwards are authorized 10 days stay in Lodging. Pets are defined as cat(s) or dog(s) or any other animals; Manager approval must be given before they are allowed to stay in the unit. A $10.00 dollar a day pet fee will be assessed to your bill. This fee allows us to provide the extra cleaning needed due to the pets stay. A listing of pet owner responsibilities is located at the front desk and you are more than welcome to attain a copy prior to making a reservation or checking into your room.

Visiting Suites
The High Desert Inn here at Edwards Air Force Base has Visiting Quarters (VQ) units available. Each unit consists of a private bedroom, bathroom and living room. Three of our five buildings have had recent décor and furniture upgrades. Are you looking for a weekend for two but do not have the time or money to go far? VQ units are perfect for a weekend get away. Call us and let Lodging be your getaway location. Space Available reservations can be made anywhere between 24 hours to 14 days in advance (depending on occupancy).
VQ units are also perfect for the unaccompanied Permanent Change of Station (PCS) out of Edwards. Reservations can be made as soon as the member has received their departure date and can be made for 10 days. Renovations and Upgrades
Air Force Lodging is always striving to improve all Air Force Installation, Lodging operations in order to stay current with the latest Hospitality and Hotel industry standards. The High Desert Inn received a $1.2M commitment for FY08 which will fund a renovation project to upgrade our Visitors Quarters in buildings 5602 and 5604. Our guests will see enhanced upgrades and a new and entirely different look with the latest contemporary styles to include carpeting, wallpaper, decorations throughout the hallways and rooms, curtains and furnishings.

High Speed Internet
The High Desert Inn provides the latest in High Tech gadgetry. Along with internet connection in each room, we offer a 24 hour Business Center/Internet Cafe for our guests who do not have the capability to login from their room. Our high speed internet café boast the latest in internet service with wireless access that enables you to login from our lobby area without the hassle of plugging into an outlet.
Coming Soon in 2009, we will feature our newest automated capability from Triple Play, Protel Communication Systems. This new automated system will give our guests the capability to view movies, music videos, and games on demand at the touch of their finger tips. The system will also provide instant checkout without leaving your room and stopping at the front desk to check out.

Cardio Room
If you've had a long, hard day and don't feel up to making your way to Rosburg Fitness Center and would like to have limited privacy without the crowd, the High Desert Inn offers a limited number of cardio machines in our Cardio Fitness room, available 24 hours a day in building 5604. We also offer a stretching room including limited cardio machines for our guests who just want to do a few stretching or Yoga type exercises in semi private setting in building 5601.

Sundry items for sale and close restaurants
Need a little quick snack and don't feel making a trip down the road to the BX or base shoppette? The High Desert Inn offers a limited Sundry Sale service that includes personal hygiene and grooming items, microwavable entrées, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverage, candies, chips, etc all available at our front counter. Just ask our friendly clerk at the front desk and they will gladly lend their assistance.
The High Desert Inn is also located within walking of our Golf Course and Club Muroc eating establishments. The Golf Course Snack Bar offers an expanded breakfast menu and short order menu available throughout the day. Club Muroc offers a sit down dining atmosphere for lunch and dinner.
